On behalf of the Hessian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs, we offer advanced training courses within the framework of the international cooperation of the State of Hesse. Our clients are governmental and private organisations involved in development cooperation and education promotion. As our institute is affiliated with the Berufliches Schulzentrum Groß-Gerau, there are versatile synergy effects. School tours are carried out, hospitations in school classes are made possible and contacts for exchange with pupils are organised.
Our lecturers are all experienced in further education of different nationalities with different educational levels and needs. As teachers in the field of vocational training, they usually have a degree in engineering or in business or school management.
The course participants (teachers and managers as well as training and educational staff) get to know modern technologies and teaching methods at our institute and then impart their knowledge as multipliers in their home country. Through contacts with manufacturers of teaching materials, visits to training departments in industry and the skilled trades and visits to trade fairs, participants also get to know Germany as a business and industrial location. On weekends, we offer supervised leisure excursions to regional sights, which round off the stay.
A guesthouse is available in the immediate vicinity to accommodate the participants.
About a quarter of the world's population have no or insufficient access to commercial energy sources. Global warming, air pollution and energy efficiency are the topics of this century. Renewable energies are available, competitive and ideally suited for widespread application in developing countries. The promotion of renewable energies makes an important developmental and humanitarian contribution to sustainably improving living conditions in these countries and promoting economic development.
After completing the practice-oriented advanced training, our participants can assess the qualitative and quantitative usability of regenerative forms of energy and analyse geographical, economic, ecological and political factors of influence on the basis of selected examples. The participants will be familiarized with the basic idea of the Renewable Energy Sources Act and will then understand the broad use of photovoltaics in Germany. In order to achieve action competence, physical and technical cause-effect relationships in power generation with solar cells are investigated both with teaching aids and industrial media such as solar modules and inverters. Photovoltaic plants are planned with professional software, simulated, then assembled and put into operation. Electrical protective measures and lightning protection round off the topic.
For the use of electrical energy, immediate consumption or feeding into the grid is an option. Alternatively, with the aid of batteries as buffer storage, a self-sufficient island network can be set up, e.g. to supply previously non-electrified places in the participants' home countries.

Vocational training is one of the main focuses of German development cooperation. Only well-trained specialists make a contribution to the economic, social and ecological development of a country. Functioning education systems that meet the current challenges of an increasingly technological world are indispensable for this.
German vocational education and training enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide. This applies to both in-company and school-based training. Our seminars are therefore aimed at teachers, trainers and managers in the field of vocational training. Depending on the target group, we focus on basic pedagogical elements, curricula and their development or change management processes. We also discuss the use of media or develop them together with our participants. The use of electronic media is a matter of course for us. Especially in the case of teachers, we show a wide variety of methods for teaching design and analyse their use depending on the respective teaching phase. Together with our participants, we analyse the concept of competence and focus on the attainment of action competence as a general goal of vocational education and training.
Ideally, we combine our seminars with visits to training companies, manufacturers of teaching materials, education fairs or by observing German school classes.

As a branch of electrical engineering, automation technology offers a wide range of possibilities to convey practice-oriented content on the one hand and to integrate participant-centred exercise phases under both technical and pedagogical conditions on the other.
Mechatronic systems are used in which signals are detected by active or passive sensors. Programs are developed for the control or regulation of typical tasks, simulated with graphic tools and finally tested on real systems. The actuators used for this purpose in turn offer participants the opportunity to get to know, compare and select drive technologies. Depending on the focus of the training, our spectrum ranges from simple small controllers to networked industrial programmable logic controllers. To ensure the transfer in the home country, we orient ourselves to worldwide standards.

Alternatively, in the area of embedded systems, we offer the possibility of electronic-related observation of automation technology. Current microcontroller systems are connected with electronic components or assemblies and programmed with corresponding languages. Modern measuring instruments such as oscilloscopes or corresponding apps are also used.

It is a cross-sectional technology that covers all areas of the economy and society.
Increasing digitalisation in the education sector requires comprehensive investments in the IT infrastructure of educational institutions on the one hand and new teaching methods for teaching staff on the other.
Our qualifications aim to strengthen the skills of teachers and trainers in digitisation and media literacy. In addition to educational aspects, this also means intensive training in the use of operating systems, user software, programming languages, hardware and the Internet.
The combination of our information technology and pedagogical modules gives the client the opportunity to employ the participants after the training under administrative aspects as IT specialists or in the pedagogical field as teachers or trainers. Since the administration of IT is carried out by teachers at schools, our training is ideal for this target group or educational institution.
