The first teachers from Ethiopia arrived on January 13, 2020 at the HLfT. Our institution implements what was agreed by the delegation of the Hessian state government headed by Tarek Al-Wazir, Hessian Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing in Addis Ababa at the end of October 2019. Hessen is working with Ethiopia to develop its vocational training system with the aim of increasing the employability of graduates from the system there. Ethiopia is undergoing a political and economic development process that is significant for the entire African continent. The HLfT supports the teachers of vocational schools with their professional further education for teaching and school management.
The group was also warmly welcomed by Axel Henkel and Norbert Noisser from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Klaus Holstein from the Ministry of Culture and Nicola Demme and Martina Ebensen from the Society for International Cooperation (giz).
